The Mornigs Aren't Always evil (Makorra)

Korra woke up to the chirping of birds, and the growling of her stomach.  For some reason, the first thing that came to her mind was the night when she had returned to Republic City, and Mako picked her up of of Naga, and layed her on Tenzin's sky bison and told her he how he was so glad she was home safe.  How dreamy that firebender boy's eyes are Korra thought, they are like an ocean of fire, overwhelming her with warmth, peace, and saftey.  She always felt safe with him, like he was her protector, her savior, her forever boy. "Wait" she said out loud, "He is with Asami, he will never go for me" Korra said with a deep hurt inside of her.  It was like watching her, well, Korra finally admitted to herself, love was falling for the wrong person.  Korra had nothing against Asami, but she was, well, jealous.  "I cant bealive I atmitted that" Korra thought.  "He must have some feelings for me", she whispered, "when I kissed him, I could tell he was surprised, but he sort of liked it because he kissed back." A small tear escaped Korra's eye, and she quickly wiped it away when she hear a knock at her door.  "Come in" she said weakly.  "Are you feeling any better?" the voice said.  Korra was turned away from the door, and she was glad because she didnt want that flameo hotman to see her blushing.  She just loved his voice, and how smooth and touching it was. "Yeah. I am feeling pretty good." Korra said in a low nervous tone.  He walked over to her and put his hand on her shoulder.  Her heart began to beat as fast as it could.  "Breakfast is ready, and I know you can use some rest so I brought it to you" Mako said in a sweet way.  Korra blushed, again, and told him thanks.  They both sat on her bed, eating rice and fried dough balls, enjoying the peacfulness the chirping birds and croaking frogs brought to their minds.  "I was really worried about you Korra, I would have done anything to get you back in my arms, I MEAN home with Tenzin and Pema where you are safe" His face turned three different shades of red, and Korra also blushed and turned away.  "Bolin, well, he sort of told Asami about our wonderful I MEAN TOTALLY NORMAL, NORMAL FRIENDLY, FRIEND TO FRIEND KISS" the dreamy firebending boy said. As soon as that sentence escaped his lips, Korra pushed away his hand that covered his mouth, and kissed him.  Just like the time before, he was surprised.  He pushed her away and she gasped. "I am so sorry Mako, I didnt know what got into me!" Korra began to cry. Mako set his breakfast down on the night stand, sat Korra up who had fallen onto her pillow and kissed her back. After a few seconds, Korra pulled away and Mako said "It was your time to be surprised." They stared into each others eyes, thinking deep about the other person and how they feel about one another.  Her hugged her, close to his chest, and they fell back onto the bed, snuggling tight together, not wanting to let go.  "Mako, I have realized something." Korra said, breaking the silence.  "I think about you all the time,I get a warm feeling deep inside of me when you are around, and I feel safe, warm and protected when I with you.  When you look into my eyes I drift away from the world, and go into deep thought about you, and how much I care about you. My feelings and those thought dace in my mind like the last two fire dragons.  You are the red one, and I am the blue, dancing in harmony to the beat of my heart.  Like the veins in my body, working together to keep warmth and life inside of me. Mako, you give me happiness, hope, fun. Mako, I love you"  They both looked at each other in surprise, but Mako broke the stare by kissing Korra, on the lips.  She pulled him closer for a deeper kiss.  "I love you Korra, and I will never let you go." Those were the last words said, and they fell happily asleep, with the warmth of the sun lighting up their embrace that would last a lifetime in their hearts, their minds, their souls.
